The Children's Place Association

Formal Education

"We had lot of problems financing the schooling for our children, but with the support of Children’s Place we have the opportunity to send them to school; thank you for all of that. Special thanks once again for all other ways you help us . . . hospital, food, advice . . ."

– Translated from Creole – Mother in Haiti Program

Education is the foundation for helping orphans and vulnerable children break the cycle of poverty. Children’s Place International strives to ensure that all school-age children we serve are enrolled in local schools.

With no free public education in Haiti, less than 50 percent of children attend school. Families living in poverty simply cannot pay the costs of tuition, books and uniforms - roughly $300 per child annually.

Through donations we receive, Children's Place International can cover these costs and provide children with the education that is critical to their success as adults.
