The Mother & Child Wellness program provides life saving support to vulnerable children and families.  This includes assistance with critical needs such as food, shelter and medication as well as support groups.  This program is currently making a difference in Haiti. 

In the high-need regions of the world, where HIV-infection rates continue to rise, governments and nonprofits remain challenged to provide cost effective, practical, and impactful services to children with weak, non-existent or even abusive families.  The Mother & Child Wellness program is a life-raft for these children and helps them break the cycle of poverty that has plagued their families for generations.

Children affected by HIV/AIDS need supportive and nurturing adults in their lives.  In the presence of HIV/AIDS, parents can become too ill to meet the needs of their children who may also be HIV-positive and require extra support.  The Mother & Child Wellness program supports mothers and caregivers more generally to help meet the needs of their children.  We help mothers and children access HIV/AIDS health services and medications.    We screen children for malnourishment and, whenever necessary, provide food and protein-enriched nutritional supplements.  We also help mothers increase their abilities to generate income for their families through small business start-ups.
